We're not the only ones eagerly counting down to the royal wedding. Last week, at a cocktail party at the Pierre Hotel in New York City, event designer Colin Cowie shared his predictions on how tomorrow's royal wedding will spark a new wedding trend: regal elegance. He's anticipating a shift from the relaxed, more homespun weddings we've been seeing recently to affairs marked by glamour and elegant opulence. His vision includes reception tables bedecked in gold, with mirrored trays, fringed linens, golden tableware and glasses, and lush blossoms (by Bardin Palomo) arranged in gilded vessels.
