We've asked some of our favorite wedding gown designers to give us a sneak peek at one of the dresses they've designed for their new collection. In the weeks leading up to Bridal Market, we'll post at least one sketch a day and after the shows are over, we'll show you what the final design looks like. Our first taste of bridal fashion comes from from Wtoo Brides.
"What makes this dress special is the delicate hand-embroidered flowers and extensive Swarovski crystal beadwork that go into each applique," says the designer of this strapless mermaid gown. The lace and tulle form a pleated bodice and a trumpet skirt that are hand embroidered with organza flowers, crystals and scallop lace. The ivory Alencon lace is a new lace that's been added to the Wtoo collection, which was inspired by Will and Kate's engagement, English Gardens, and European Cathedral architecture. The designer says the Wtoo bride this season embodies feminity, romance, and reminiscence.—Phillip B. Crook
