We often hear about design inspirations that reach beyond the world of weddings: nature, fashion icons, romantic eras. But the designer of this voluminous Jasmine gown instead turned inward and drew inspiration from luxurious wedding receptions. "We explored everything from flower arrangements and centerpieces to jewelry and traditional heirlooms," says the designer. "The inspiration can be seen in our three-dimensional floral detailing and ornate beadwork. Overall, the collection is lavish, dazzling and sophisticated, just like all formal wedding receptions should be." The tulle on the skirt is pleated and formed into concentric circles to create a geometric, yet still soft, design. The rest of the collection will feature organza, vintage-themed jewel-work. "Adding a vintage jewelry design to a modern piece can really give a gown a completely new look. We love to add beading, jewel-work, and floral waistbands to the waistline of gowns to draw attention to what is many times a woman's most flattering feature." —Phillip B. Crook
