How gorgeous is this ombré wedding cake by Whipped Bakeshop in Philadelphia? The shaded effect is created using meringue buttercream that's been tinted in varying shades of lavender, which gives the cake a lovely painterly quality. Plus, I love the extra height of the top and bottom tiers—the cake layers are double-stacked, which adds a touch of drama to this very modern cake. —Heather Lee
