Welcome baskets are a thoughtful way to greet out-of-town guests—that part you already know. But what should you include? At the minimum, we think it's important to include a welcome note, a detailed itinerary of the weekend's events, a guidebook or list of suggested downtime activities, a bottle of water, and a substantial snack. And bonus points if the snacks you include are made in the area you're marrying in. I've recently become obsessed with Peeled Snacks' organic dried fruit snack pouches—they don't contain any added sugar or preservatives, and they're crazy delicious. I think they would make the perfect addition to a welcome basket, especially if you're marrying in the New York area, since the company is based in Brooklyn and the snacks are packed in upstate New York. My favorite is the dried mango, but you can also find dried cherries, apples, apricots, and more, plus fruit mixes like Paradise Found (a blend of pineapple, banana, and mango). And if you're trying to eat healthier, you can get Peeled Snacks' Kick Start the New Year snack pack, which includes a 30-day supply of single serving bags for $51. Peeled Snacks can be purchased at peeledsnacks.com, and you can find more ideas for what to include in your welcome basket by reading our Welcome Basket Shopping List. —Lauren Matthews
