Whether you're still searching for vendors or just looking for cool food, dessert, and cocktail ideas for your wedding, I definitely recommend attending Eat. Drink. Be Married., a food-focused wedding event being held at Astor Center (399 Lafayette Street at East 4th Street) on Thursday, February 24th from 6-9 p.m. I attended the event last year, and loved it—it felt more like a classy cocktail hour than a typical bridal expo. You can expect to enjoy a variety of cocktails and wine from Astor Wines & Spirits, along with scrumptious hors d'oeuvres and sweets from Benchmarc Events, the Cleaver Company, Cake Alchemy, Scoozi Events NYC, FattyCakesNY, Liddabit Sweets, and more. The evening will also include two mini-classes (Astor Center regularly hosts fun food and drink workshops—a great idea for a bachelor/ette party, engagement party, or shower): one on choosing sparkling wine, and one on creating a signature cocktail. One lucky couple will also win a hands-on pre-Prohibition mixology class and welcome reception for up to 36 people. Tickets are $25 a person, and available at Looking for more wedding menu and cocktail ideas? Visit our Wedding Meals and Drinks Index Page. —Lauren Matthews, Brides New York
