The editors of brides.com recently attended a fabulous soirée thrown by Marcey Brownstein Catering & Events at Rockefeller Center's 620 Loft and Garden . The "Fine and Dandy" party had a retro-modern theme—everything was impeccably styled, including the menu of reinvented classics (Oysters Rockefeller, petite deviled eggs, Waldorf salad, etc.), the vintage-sounding jazz band, and the servers wearing 1930s-inspired outfits and accessories. We couldn't stop talking about how it would be such an amazing theme for an actual wedding. Some of my favorite clever details included the mini Beef Wellington hors d'oeuvres served inside silver cigarette cases (pictured above), and the "Automat" that dispensed small plates of deliciousness, like lobster mac 'n cheese.
