The one thing you should definitely register for

I often receive emails from couples who have been living with their significant other for a few years, and feel that they don't have a use for a wedding registry. While you may not need another toaster, there is one staple I encourage all couples to register for: new bedding.

I recently discovered Luxor Linens, a purveyor of high-end bed and bath linens. The company uses Egyptian cotton and bamboo to create sumptuous, crisp sheets that are so unbelievably soft, you'll never want to get out of bed. In addition to the standard white, the company carries sheet sets in array of colors including warm earth-tones, serene blues, and a rich, dramatic red.

Not into fighting department store crowds? Don't fret. Luxor Linens offers an online wedding registry service, so you can easily register from home.

While you're online checking out their wares, be sure to visit their handy gift guides. ('Tis the season, right?) I love the idea of gifting your friend or family member a plush, personalized bathrobe. It's the kind of gift people love to receive, but can never justify buying for themselves.
