Fashion designer Joanna Baum, who is at the helm of of Brooklyn boutique Sir, is known for her pretty, diaphanous hand-constructed silk dresses (Kirsten Dunst, Michelle Williams, and Keira Knightley are all fans). For the past eight years, she's been taking special requests and custom orders from brides and bridesmaids—and now she's decided to make it official with the debut of her Sir Celebrations line of wedding party and bridal looks ($300-$800). Joanna says she's designed the collection to be as "rich in design as it [is] stress-free in the process," a description that perfectly sums up the new custom party wear salon housed in the back of the Williamsburg boutique (129 Bedford Avenue, 718-384-0700).
