I'm putting together a bouquet feature for our upcoming issue of Brides Northern California (on newsstands 2/1/2011!). Florist Susan Kelly of Three Sisters Custom Flowers and Events in Palo Alto submitted the stunner pictured in the upper right corner above—and I could not get over how lovely and unique those peach-colored blooms were. Susan told me those are David Austin Juliet roses, and a bit of online research revealed that David Austin is an English rose breeder known for creating a unique hybrid garden rose that he refers to as "English roses." The roses have tightly-packed fluffy layers, and a lovely, romantic scent that makes them perfect for weddings (and a great alternative to peonies if you're not marrying during peony season). David Austin Roses supplies florists all over the world—if you're loving them as much as I am, you can ask your florist to source them directly from their wholesale department. —Lauren Matthews, editor, Brides Northern California
