Add this to your candy buffet

For as long as I can remember, my dad has ordered boxes of Colorado-based Enstrom's toffee for friends and family at Christmas time—and he would always made sure to have an extra one-pound box around the house for us. Eventually, that one-pound box turned into two, and two pounds soon turned to three. Sadly for our waistlines, none of it ever goes uneaten. My family has been ordering toffee for over 30 years now, and I don't see the tradition stopping anytime soon.

Toffee is normally rock hard and sticks to your teeth, but the beauty of this variety is how soft it is. The toffee has almonds mixed throughout, and a layer of either milk or dark chocolate on either side, sprinkled with crushed almonds. In addition to the one-, two-, three-, and five-pound boxes, you can also order it in the form of chocolate-covered toffee squares. I love the idea of adding this delicious treat to a wedding dessert buffet, or handing out the squares as favors. I can assure you—your guests will be hooked. Enstrom's toffee can be found at their Colorado retail locations, or ordered online at —Mallory Toombs, Art Assistant
