One of our favorite charities, Brides Across America, is gearing up for their biggest event ever this Veterans Day. On November 10th and 11th Brides Across America and Smiles Across The Miles will partner with bridal salons across the country to provide free designer wedding gowns to military brides. Dresses by top designers, from Vera Wang to Carolina Herrera, will be available in a variety of sizes, from 4 to 22, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
"Many soldiers come back injured and take severe pay cuts, which makes it very difficult to make ends meet, not to mention have a dream wedding," explains Heidi Janson, founder of Brides Across America.
In order to qualify, brides must be engaged and be on active duty in the military, or have a fiance on active duty in either Iraq or Afghanistan. If this applies to you, visit the Brides Across America website to find a participating salon near you and take advantage of this opportunity. And don't forget to tell us all about your fabulous free gown! — Caitlin Palmer, Editorial Intern, Brides.com
