HBO's Grey Gardens is one of my top ten films—among the many reasons I love watching it again and again are the lovely vintage recreations that Little Edie Beale (played by Drew Barrymore) wears in the flashback scenes. My absolute favorite look is the white hooded silk gown she wears in one of the party scenes—I couldn't help but think what a fabulous wedding dress that would make. So, of course, I was majorly excited to see this short silk hooded number in Anne Bowen's latest collection—it's a decidedly unique choice for a wedding dress, but I'm completely obsessed with it.
