Venue Spotlight: Stonepine Estate

California

My theory as to why so many brides love the "vintage" look: It's a gimmick free style that guests of all ages warm to. If you're thinking of going the vintage route, rule number one is to make sure your chosen venue is compatible with the era you're using as inspiration.

If you've been dreaming of a sophisticated Gatsby-esque affair, you'll want to take note that the exquisitely beautiful Stonepine Estate Resort in Carmel Valley recently re-opened to the public. The historic estate, hidden among acres of rolling hills, was built in 1929. Wedding event spaces include the rustic Carriage House, the Waterfall Pavilion (which includes two waterfalls and a fully-furnished outdoor living room), and the lush gardens outside of the Chateau Noel, the property's Mediterranean style villa. Coming soon: a 150-seat chapel. To find out more about hosting a wedding at Stonepine Estate (or staying there for your honeymoon), head to stonepinecarmel.com.
