The perfect cat eye

I'm in love with the glamorous, retro look of liquid liner. But getting that winged out tip and precise line just right can be crazy difficult. If you're even slightly off, it can look lopsided and low-rent (not really what I'm going for). I've found that in addition to having a steady hand, the right product can make all the difference. My current obsession is British beauty brand Illamasqua's Precision Ink in Abyss , $27.50. The super fine yet sturdy tip makes it easy to apply in a straight, thin line. And the glossy black patent leather-esque color doesn't budge or smear (even after a 30-minute run on the treadmill...yes, sometimes I workout wearing liquid liner). Alas, like all good things, this eyeliner won't be around forever—all products from the Illamasqua Art of Darkness collection are available only for a limited time in the U.S. at select Sephora locations and on sephora.com. I'll be stocking up. —Lauren Matthews, editor
