My current obsession: Mehron Celebré PRO-HD

Hair & Beauty

I first discovered the Mehron makeup line a year or so ago when a makeup artist I was interviewing recommended using Mehron Barrier Spray for a smudge-resistant, non-cakey finish. I found out that the line was originally created in the 1920s for professional Broadway actors, and I loved the idea that their products are now kind of a hidden secret of makeup professionals. While the company still makes special effects makeup and heavy-duty stage foundation, Mehron has tons of products that won't make you look like a drag queen in everyday life. And they're especially great for weddings since the formulations are made to be fade-resistant, sweat-resistant, and non-streaking.

My current obsession is their newly unveiled Celebré PRO-HD foundation. The oil-free formula comes in 20 different shades and includes Vitamin E, pomegranate, and aloe vera which makes it slide on silky-smooth without feeling greasy. My favorite part: the foundation is "buildable," meaning it's basically impossible to O.D.—just keep adding sheer layers until any redness or blotchiness is completely covered. I end up with full coverage without looking like I'm wearing a mask of makeup. Plus, it costs under $10! You can order the foundation at mehron.com, or use their store locator to find a retail location near you. —Lauren Matthews, beauty editor
