Earlier on our Facebook page, our senior business manager Eric mentioned that his brother gave him and his wife Maya cooking classes as a wedding gift, which I think is such a lovely idea (and a bit more special than an envelope of cash).

So if you're looking for a unique wedding gift to give a couple of New Yorkers, check out Passion for the Palate's cooking classes. Chef Jamie Pool and Kim Ankling's "Marry Me" lesson is specifically geared toward newly engaged couples. Each class is taught in Passion For The Palate's cozy, private kitchen, where couples start off with complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres before moving on to the cooking lesson, where the chefs teach their students how to execute a delicious meal. Classes start at $250, and gift certificates are available. Passion for the Palate also hosts group cooking parties, perfect for bachelorette festivities and bridal showers.
