I was browsing the blog of Michigan-based photographer Abby Rose Photo and came across this sweet favor idea. The bride and groom, who wed in Ann Arbor, decided to give each guest a cookie cutter shaped like the state of Michigan. Tied to each cookie cutter was a tag bearing an illustration of the state. I consulted with our in-house baking expert (our photo editor Cristina) on a good source for cookie cutters and she recommended H.O. Foose Tinsmithing Co.—they carry Michigan cookie cutters as well as a version shaped like the Upper Peninsula (both are $1.95 each). (You can see more of the couple's wedding here.) What do you think? Is this something you'd consider for your wedding? —Heather Lee, Editor, Brides Michigan
