Chelsea, don't rain on my parade wedding

Wedding Style & Decor

Helpless in Upstate New York, you're on the air...

The internet has been abuzz with details about Chelsea Clinton's upcoming wedding—from who will be on the guest list to who will be designing her dress. One person who is less than eager to hear all of the news is Emn Haddad-Friedman who is getting married on July 31st, the former first daughter's rumored wedding date, at Clermont Historic Site—an 18th century landmark in Germantown. The problem? Clermont is about five minutes from Rhinebeck, New York where the Clinton nuptials are heavily favored to take place. The even bigger problem? The shortest distance between Emn's ceremony and reception site is right through Rhinebeck, a usually quiet town that likely will have street closures up the wazoo if Chels is actually getting married there. Emn has tried to get in touch with the local police to confirm the wedding and ensure that there will be a way for her wedding guests to get through the madness, but no one can give her an answer.

So what's a girl to do? It seems like she has resorted to sharing her story with some news sources to publicize her problem with hopes that someone out there can help. Not a bad idea, but what do you think? We recommend checking with the town that you are getting married in to see if there are any street fairs, parades, or any local hoopla scheduled for the day that you get married, but clearly here no information would have been given here. So what would you do? Tell us below. —Cari Wolfert
