Checking the forecast

Outdoor weddings can be gorgeous, memorable...and pretty darn stressful. For my recent outdoor wedding, I spent the entire week checking weather.com every hour (I'm not exaggerating) to see whether the chance of rain had increased from 20 percent to 30 percent Another option is to consult the Farmer's Almanac, whose forecasts are traditionally 80 percent accurate. Check out the Farmer's Almanac's wedding website for their famous weather forecasts, plus information on wedding customs, cake recipes, sunrise and sunset times, and more. And if you're getting ready to set the date for your outdoor wedding, you can even check historical meteorological data for your area to find out the likelihood of sunny skies up to a year in advance. —Kim Forrest
