Stunning floral display

Flowers, Philadelphia

How cool is this suspended display of vases filled with flowers and brilliantly-colored water? The incredible design by the team at Beautiful Blooms was on view at this month's Philadelphia Flower Show. The concept was to create a "topographical" map of flowers in vases to represent the terrain between a glacier and the ocean. While this concept may not exactly translate into your own wedding decor, I can easily imagine a display of hanging vessels containing flowers and water tinted to match your wedding colors (on a much smaller scale, of course). I think the key, though, is to keep the water colors more muted, instead of overly bright (which might read a bit too garish). What do you think? Would you ever consider doing something this "out there" with your own wedding decor? —Heather Lee, Editor, Brides Philadelphia
