The short option

Wedding Dresses, Wedding Style & Decor

Short dresses are no longer a fleeting trend in bridal. As boutique weddings grow in popularity these mini alternatives are following suit. All of the designers in the Priscilla of Boston Group do a great job of presenting options with shorter hemlines. Here are some of our favorites.

Jewel, the newest designer to the Priscilla of Boston Group, created one of my favorite short numbers of the night: this tea-length organza square-neck gown with a pleated, satin detail on the skirt (above, left). This satin sheath dress with a lace trimming and removable silk organza skirt (above, middle) was shown in both a black and pink hue by Platinum for Priscilla of Boston who also went micro-mini with this short-sleeved beaded Chantilly lace dress (above, right) for the uber-sexy bride

The namesake Priscilla of Boston line presented this cocktail party-chic silk organza and satin dress (above, left) that is adorned with Alencon lace appliques. Melissa Sweet showed two great short options. The first: an all-over lave 3/4 sleeve gown with beaded floral motifs (above, middle), and then a ruched, silk chiffon dress with a dramatic feathered skirt (above, right). —Cari Wolfert
