Admittedly, I stumbled across jewelry designer Melissa Joy Manning's booth feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the vendors packed into the Javits Center for the New York Gift Show, but Melissa's simple designs, which embody an earthy yet classic look, were like a breath of fresh air.
The designer combines a minimalistic approach with inspiration taken from the natural elements of the landscape surrounding her Oakland studio. Some of my favorite pieces include her white topaz freeform bezel set ring, the Herkimer diamond necklace, and the Herkimer diamond stud earrings (shown in photo).
