Last Saturday night I tried VeeV, a spirit made with Açaí. There's something unique about it that sets it apart from the rest of the liquors on this seemingly endless bandwagon. VeeV is extremely smooth and made of 100% all natural Idaho grains infused with Açaí, which I like because it mixes well with countless juices and syrups. I enjoyed it with a basic raspberry soda, but I recommend experimenting since it's quite versatile. For $35 dollars a bottle, this spirit would make a great gift for the wedding party or even for a signature cocktail to be served at the reception. Here's a summertime recipe that the nice people over at VeeV shared with us:
Açai Lemonade
1.5 oz VeeV Açaí Spirit
Lemonade
Splash of cranberry juice
Lemon wheel for garnish
Build an ice–filled highball glass and stir well. Garnish with the lemon wheel.
