When asked what her inspiration points were behind the collection, Alvina Valenta designer Jessica Williams said she set out with the goal to "freshen up and update the classic Alvina Valenta look." And the look accomplishes just that, as classic shapes are revived and modernized with the edition of dimensional accents and fresh, floral detailing.

The featured gown is a while silk organza full A–line gown with a strapless draped bodice and delicately jeweled floral embroidery. The dress epitomizes the feel of the entire collection, described by the designer as "airy, dimensional and romantic". "I was able to create a more modern look by manipulating the fabrics in different ways and by using dimensional embroidery," says the designer.
