Anne Barge's one shouldered French Chantilly lace gown, like the rest of her work, has a romantic, timeless quality. The dress features layers of silk voille mariagem over silk organza. Tiny re-embroidered ribbon and French knots have been applied asymmetrically from the one shoulder down the side of the low dropped waist, with a full circle skirt to add volume.
While the one-shoulder trend is popping up everywhere right now, the designer says, "it's special because of the three dimensional quality of the embroidery combined with the fine and delicate French Chantilly lace. One shoulder bridal gowns are very popular right now but it hasn't been translated into lace."
In creating this season's collection the designer says her inspiration "was keeping each elegant style classic and timeless in a modern world."
