High-school sweethearts Jena and Justin planned a black, white, and lime green springtime wedding at the Forum in Whitney. Jena spotted the umbrella that she posed with at her wedding at Dillard's after hearing that rain was expected for her wedding day. "It matched our theme perfectly," she says.
Jena and her mother made topiary-style aisle markers using faux gerbera daisies presented in galvanized-metal pots. She also made faux sedum wreaths featuring her new last initial and used gingham ribbon to hang them on the doors to the main room at her reception.
The first photo ever snapped of the couple (from their senior year of high school) was displayed on the guest-book table, along with photos of the bride and groom as children.
Jena worked with the Lemon Sisters Cafe & Bakery in Cleburne, to create the four-tier cake, which was frosted in buttercream and featured green rickrack and gingham ribbon; the bride's and groom's first initials decorated the bottom tier.
