DIY map envelopes

We were pretty intrigued when we came across this DIY map envelope on Dog N' Bird, so we did some research and found MapEnvelope.com. The site couldn't make it simpler: type in an address (your wedding location, site of your rehearsal dinner, etc.), write a custom message and hit "preview" to get a printable template of your envelope. Visit your local paper store to get cardstock that is thicker than standard computer paper but still bendable. I got in a little fight with my printer when it didn't want to print it out correctly, so I took a screen shot and pasted it into Word to make sure I was getting the right version. See where I took it from there below:

Top, left: Carefully cut out the envelope shape. Top, right: Fold the flaps over on the edges, starting with the sides, then bottom, then top. Bottom, left: Apply a small amount of glue to the bottom of the two side flaps and adhere to the bottom flap. Bottom, right: Stuff your envelope then fold the top flap over and close with a foil seal (I found these "Love" ones at Staples). —Cari Wolfert
