I've been doing research for cake story and have been trolling the web in search of some seriously spectacular cakes. I love this modern and graphic design by Vanilla Bake Shop in Santa Monica. The square-shaped tiers are crisp and the black stripes are so striking. I also love the juxtaposition of the stripes paired with a more traditional damask pattern—it's completely unexpected yet totally works. Plus, the varying tier heights and the slightly off-kilter placement feel very fresh. What do you think?
