A marvelous museum

Boston is home to some of the best museums on the East Coast, so why not have one serve as the venue for your wedding? I recently attended a late summer ceremony and reception of about 150 guests at the Museum of Science. The Washburn Pavilion, the museum's event space, offers a scenic view of the Charles River. Another fun detail—the museum is on the route of the "Duck Tours" (Boston's famous land-and-sea tour group) which pass by every so often and adds to the fun, lively atmosphere. The Museum of Science Events & Conference Services Department, who handles special events, partners with Wolfgang Puck Catering to make each wedding personalized and memorable. Bonus: Guests receive one complimentary exhibit hall pass to be used during the weekend of the event. To host a wedding at the Museum of Science, call the Events & Conference Services Department at 617-589-0125.—Abigail Reid, Editorial Assistant, Brides Boston
