Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day?

This past weekend I was in the most fantastic wedding! Everything about it was brilliant...the decor, the flowers, the food, the space, the bride, the groom and the bridesmaids.

Dressing in white to a wedding is and always has been a big no-no, and of course wearing white after Labor Day is considered a fashion faux pas, which is why I was shocked and amazed when my super-traditional friends, Stephanie and Marc, took that double risk and put their bridesmaids in white at the end of September! It turned out to be extremely elegant. And, if I do say so myself, we looked pretty great! (I'm third from the left.) I think that this "faux pas" was worth making. Would you ever consider putting your bridesmaids in white? —Erin Swift, contributing lifestyle/reception editor, Elegant Bride

I think wearing white was fabulous! My daughter and her bridesmaids looked amazing! Way to go Stephanie and thanks to all the girls for such a memorable day. Love, Mom
