Three of a Kind: High-Low Hemlines

Wedding Dresses, Wedding Dresses

Short dresses have gone from a passing trend to wedding day staple. Everything from micro minis to sweet, tea-length ballgowns have gone bridal, so we were excited to see this new take on short dresses this season with hybrid, short and long hemlines. We saw this first at Legends by Romona Keveza (top, left) with this silk, shantung taffeta gown that was paired with fun blue shoes. Next was at Ines Di Santo (top, center) where this dress featured an open, bubble hem at the first. Last, at the Pnina Tornai show (top, right), this pleated tulle gown with beaded straps started off the show with a sexy style. Wear this trend at a slick, city wedding or with casual shoes at bash in the sand. —Cari Wolfert
