Let me tell you, I've seen a lot of wedding cakes in my life. And I've become pretty good at distinguishing a sugar flower from a fresh flower. But at the Studio Square event the other night, I was fooled for the first time ever! This wedding cake, created by Cakes by Stef, based in New Jersey, was decorated with orchids and calla lilies—I could have sworn they were fresh. But upon further inspection and a quick chat with sugar artist Stefanie Sancho, I realized that they were made of sugar.
