Gallons of organza at Kenneth Pool

Wedding Dresses

Amsale's Kenneth Pool collection was a glitzy and glamorous as always. On the line sheets that everyone at the show received as they sat down to for the show the dresses were described as works of art, "touched by couture details, each catering to the bride who commands the spotlight."

And one of our favorite and perhaps the most artistic was this strapless ballgown with a beaded bodice and organza ruffle skirt. When we caught up with Amsale post-show she told us that it actually took 100 yards of organza to make the dress! But because it was ruffled and pleated together so beautifully it doesn't come off as too large or heavy—just an elaborate, wearable piece. We can't wait to see her namesake collection later today. —Cari Wolfert
