This embossed, one-shoulder gown was inspired by the designer's recent trip to the Borghese Gardens in Rome where he visited an Italian mill that specializes in beautiful, feminine fabrics like the swatch shown here.
"The fabric for the gown is a silk blend embossed with a subtle floral pattern," the designer said. "There is a slight sheen because of the silk—the dress is light as air."
The one-shoulder silhouette, a new addition to the J. Crew Weddings brand, provides an understated elegant yet retro look. —Cari Wolfert
