Fairytales do come true. Each day this week, dress designer Reem Acra lets readers of "Wedded Bits" take a look at the inspiration behind some of the dresses in her bridal collection currently in boutiques now. Each gown in this collection is based on a different fairytale princess. Acra shows us her inspiration boards for a new dress each day to let us see her imagination at work.
We all love these fairytales, and growing up as a little girl like everybody else, we dream about these princesses... and you dream about your own wedding dress. And I think that this collection in particular reflects the freshness of all these themes.
They are approachable. They are light and airy. They are happy. And this is what I wanted to bring to the table at this time because of everything going on around us. I wanted to uplift the bride and the bridal industry. For me, this collection really is about a dream come true. —Reem Acra
