A public affair

I've seen some amazing modern weddings held at the Denver Art Museum, but this has to be one of the coolest: Patricia and Chris were married on May 29, during the museum's ongoing Untitled program, a final Friday event series with music, off-beat tours, art-making and performances. The May Untitled event followed the theme of love with Patricia and Chris tying the knot and museum goers serving as their witnesses...fitting, since the couple had their first date at an Untitled event and also got engaged during one.

After the ceremony in the Duncan Pavilion, "guests" were invited to sit down in front of a camera and give the couple their best love advice (the tape was later given to the newlyweds). The evening also featured a wedding-worthy dance floor, with DJs spinning tunes and local band Recess rocking out.

The final Friday Untitled series runs through September 2009 with new themes, activities, and bands each month. Visit untitled.denverartmuseum.org for more information, or head to their event rental page for more about hosting weddings at the museum. —Lauren Matthews, editor, Brides Colorado
