You probably won't be too involved in planning your bridal shower, but offering a few location suggestions will give your friends and family a leg up. If your event is taking place in Denver, I'd suggest the uber-charming restaurant, Beatrice & Woodsley, on South Broadway.
The restaurant is modeled to look like an abandoned cabin the woods, with tables positioned amongst clusters of real Aspen tree trunks. The inspiration was a folktale about Beatrice and Woodsley, a winemaker's daughter and a poor cooper in the 1800s. According to the tale, the couple moved from California to Colorado, where Woodsley built a cabin in the woods and they lived happily ever after. The restaurant's tea service menu would make an ideal shower menu, with house-made scones, crumpets, cucumber sandwiches and cookies ($16 per person), as well as a tea-inspired cocktail, Tea Thyme (Earl Grey-infused gin, thyme, and lemon). Tea is served on Saturdays and Sundays, from 2-4 pm.—Lauren Matthews, Editor, Brides Colorado
