Online stationery company Paperless Post is offering a new service for brides who love the ease of email but don't want to sacrifice the beauty of a well-designed, elegant invitation. The company creates unbelievably realistic interactive invites— click here to see how you can watch the invitation slide out of the envelope—that have already won a following among the fashion crowd (the service has been used for events for Zac Posen and Diane von Furstenberg). There's no doubt about the allure of a stylish, inexpensive invitation (Paperless Post has a sliding scale fee that starts at $5 for 60 e-vites), but I imagine that some brides would regret forgoing the tangible appeal of a traditional paper invitation.
