Clothes Minded

Lots of grooms grapple with the decision of whether to buy or rent a tuxedo for the wedding. Another option that may not have occurred to you: having a suit custom-made. For a little more than the cost of some standard tuxedos, your groom can have a formal suit made-to-measure in the material of his choice, making his wedding attire one-of-a-kind. Not to mention he'll probably have more opportunity to wear this suit after the wedding than he would a tux.

We love Michael Andrews Bespoke (MAB's suits have been featured in Modern Bride and worn by chef Wylie Dufresne, of NYC's wd-50 restaurant, at his wedding and on last season of Top Chef). Other custom clothiers around the country include Ernesto Fine Custom Clothier, Nicholas Joseph and Jonathan Behr.—Betsy Goldberg, deputy editor, Modern Bride

I would highly recommend the suit over the tuxedo. These days with slimming budgets, most weddings are taking on the charming and classy DIY look so the suit marries well (pun intended lol) with the slightly more casual feel. It's the best way to acquire a piece of wedding attire that can definitely be work again!
