New York— The dresses "make you feel as if you're walking on a cloud," Monique Lhuillier proclaimed in the introduction on the liner notes for her bridal collection.
Here we all were high atop New York in a Penthouse at The London Hotel. I don't know how much the penthouse suite costs, but it's safe to assume that everyone felt rich for the hour we were there. The suite is a duplex with a Lucite staircase. A black metal mod fireplace stood to one side. And the focal point in the center of the room was anchored by a curvy, leather, sectional sofa pit. Must use the word groovy!
The models strolled through the room wearing breezy gowns of delicate organza and tulle, bearing the Lhuillier signature of intricate details such as embroidery, pleating, or lace. As Lhuillier wrote in her notes, "Welcome to Spring!" —Michelle Preli
