Want to serve something more unique than a specialty cocktail at your wedding? Try liquor lollipops. A Thyme to Cook Catering & Special Events, in North Stonington, CT, recently won the "Most Innovative Mixology" award at the International Catering Association's CATIE Awards Gala in Las Vegas with their "Shooting Stars" liquor lollipops.
The treats are made just like regular lollipops, except they're infused with liquor, like Goldschlager, Chambord, Grand Marnier, and Midori. "Our latest trial was a 'Tequila Sunrise' lollipop with really pretty red and orange tones," says Gina Barber, the company's senior event coordinator. "We can present them in different ways—as a take-away, passed around after dinner as a surprise, or on display at the cocktail hour in a specially-built ' lollipop tree'." —Lauren Matthews, editor, Brides Connecticut
