I understand the importance of a stylish presentation when it comes to wedding favors, and some of the most lovely packaging I've seen as of late comes courtesy of TCHO, San Francisco's newest chocolate manufacturer. Their dark chocolate bars feature boldly-covered wrappers covered with cool, techy-looking patterns...perfect for a modern wedding.
But I'd never suggest buying bad chocolate just because the wrapping is cute. Luckily TCHO's chocolate is uncommonly good. The company describes their approach as "technology meets chocolate," similar to wine makers choosing their grapes—they source their cacao based on six dominant aromas in its natural "flavor spectrum": chocolatey, earthy, nutty, fruity, floral and citrus. The 8 Mini Gift Collection would make a fabulous favor, offering eight five-gram bars featuring an assortment of flavors for $6.50 each. You can buy online at tcho.com or visit their factory store on Pier 17, where you can also grab a cup of their delish drinking chocolate. —Lauren Matthews, editor, Brides Northern California
