Courtesy of CordeValle, A RoseWood Resort
For the upcoming issue of Brides Northern California, I asked local videographers about some of their top places to shoot weddings. Not surprisingly, CordeValle came up as a favorite. Nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains, this resort is surrounded by stunning views and even has its own on-site winery, Clos LaChance. I think it would be a particularly great choice for a destination wedding, as you could host the entire wedding weekend without leaving the resort—they have sites for the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception, plus lodging, a spa, and an award-winning golf course...
And right now, the resort is offering special packages for the couple and their wedding party. The "Bride's Pampering Package" includes mimosas in the spa lounge, a 60-minute massage, a mani/pedi, and a light lunch, as well as a gift bag filled with lotion, bath gel and a bath fizz ball for each guest (Cost: $2,494 for the bride and six guests, inclusive of gratuity).
And for the guys, there's the "Groom's Golf Outing" package, which starts with breakfast at the resort's Lion's Peak Grill and includes a box lunch, a sleeve of golf balls and a golf cap for each player. Greens fee, cart rental and one forecaddie per foursome are also included. (Cost: $2,294 for the groom and seven guests).—Lauren Matthews, editor, Brides Northern California
