I love discovering talented vendors, and my latest find is Studio Cake in Menlo Park, CA. I can't believe I haven't come across designer and baker BethAnn Goldberg before. A former ceramic sculptor and NASA engineer (seriously!), BethAnn now whips up striking, adorable cakes and cupcakes. And not only do her confections look good (check out her design gallery), but they taste good too. She uses a white chocolate base to create her homemade fondant, so it doesn't have the chalky, less-than-delicious taste of commercially-produced fondant. —Lauren Matthews, associate editor, Brides.com Magazines
