Last week I had the opportunity to check out New York City's new Marriage Bureau that opens to the public today. The new space not only features an aesthetic update (famed designer Jamie Drake helped design the modern looking space that includes art on loan from the Brooklyn Museum of Art), but also features a new line management system and computer kiosks for easy service and reduced wait times. But one of the best new features has to be the updated bathrooms perfect for pre-ceremony prepping with a vanity and full length mirrors. —Cari Wolfert
Clockwise from top left: This couple christened the City's new space by becoming the first couple to marry in the East Chapel. The space boasts a wall with a large backdrop photo of City Hall for newlyweds to pose in front of for pictures. The newly expanded waiting area provides comfort and simplicity. A selection of flower arrangements can be purchased for your ceremony right in the building, as well as other wedding day necessities such as disposable cameras, costume rings and tissues.
