Good news for Denver brides who are fans of designer Monique Lhuillier: Starting in January 2009, Denver brides will be able to view, try on, and purchase select gowns from the couture designer at Anna Be Bridal Boutique, in Highland. To launch the new collection, Anna Be will be hosting a trunk show Friday, January 2, 2009 through Sunday, January 4, 2009, featuring approximately 15 dresses from Monique Lhuillier's Spring 2008 collection. —Lauren Matthews, associate editor, Brides.com Magazines

Wedding Wisdom:

Take note—A trunk show is different than a sample sale. A trunk show is an opportunity for a designer to show his or her latest collection in its entirety, since its often difficult for a salon to buy the full line. A trunk show allows brides the opportunity to see the full range of styles. That said, if you see a gown you're interested in, know that if you don't buy it that day, you might not see it again, since it's difficult to bring a dress the salon doesn't normally carry back in for a second look.
