Like many couples who elope or have a destination wedding with a limited number of guests, Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren, had a post-wedding reception last week at their home in Beverly Hills.
The newlyweds were wed on May 19th in a courthouse ceremony in Beverly Hills. But waited a few months before celebrating with their family and friends. Honor, the couple's six-month old daughter, was part of the festivities. —Anne Chertoff
Wedding Wisdom: If you are planning a post-ceremony bash a few weeks or months after you officially tied the knot (you shouldn't wait more than a year) your reception can be as formal or as casual as you want it. The bride can wear the dress she was married in or find something else that fits the formality and location of the party. As for invitations, let the formality of the reception guide you and instead of asking guests to attend the marriage of or union of, write "Mr. and Mrs. (hosts' name here) request the pleasure of your company at a reception..." or "Join us for a celebration of our recent marriage..."
