I love Laura and Kara—the two wedding coordinators of Florham Park, N.J.-based My Bellissima. So I was obviously thrilled when I found out that Laura just got engaged (what a fabulous wedding that will be!). She recently emailed me to show how she asked her friends to be her bridesmaids—it was so cute, I just had to blog about it! She made little "friendship cakes," the colors and flavors of each reflected each bridesmaid's tastes and personality. There was also a collage of photos of the group, with a "recipe for friendship" on the back. The "ingredients" included: "2 cups Laughter, 1 cup Heart...2 tsp. Dancing...3 pinches of Gossiping"—all traits and activities of good friends. Now how adorable is that? Of course, the girls all happily said "yes"!—Kim Forrest, Assistant Editor, Brides.com Magazines

Wedding Wisdom: When asking your nearest and dearest to be your bridesmaids, try to think of a cute way to do it, rather than just a phone call or email. Send them a fun card or a cute cookie to make them feel extra special!
