I'm a sucker for anything with a bird on it. So of course I immediately fell for these save the dates by Boston-based Etsy seller Kiss and Tell Cards, which are decorated with two felt "lovebirds." They have a sweet, handmade quality to them that made me smile, and I'm sure will make your invitees smile, too. Kiss and Tell also sells beautiful invitations—I'm partial to the cherry blossom pattern. The bird save the dates are $83.75 for 25 cards. Visit Kiss and Tell Cards' Etsy site for more information.—Kim Forrest, Assistant Editor, Brides.com Magazines

Wedding Wisdom: If you're having a wedding close to home, sending save the dates isn't required. However, if you're throwing a destination wedding where guests will need to make travel arrangements far in advance, a save the date can be extremely important.
